T5W is a Goodreads group where there are topics every Wednesday for the top five answers relating to that topic. This week is ‘Bromances’, so see below for my top five favourite bromances in books!
1. Azriel/Cassian/Rhys ~ A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas
I don’t know if it’s technically cheating if there’s more than two? It can still be a bromance with three, right? Either way, I loved the relationship and the banter between Azriel, Cassian and Rhys from ACOMAF. They had practically grown up together and are so close, their banter feels so real and authentic which makes it more enjoyable!
2. Frodo and Sam ~ The Lord of the Rings Trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien
A classic, I could not mention bromances without Frogo and Sam from LOTR! They literally would do anything for each other and Sam has definitely been there for Frodo through thick and thin. They travelled from the Shire to Mordor together!
3. Kell and Rhy ~ Shades of Magic Trilogy by V.E. Schwab
This is a recent one and only based on the first book of the trilogy, but I loved the relationship between Kell and Rhy! They grew up together as if they were brothers but they’re not blood relatives. You can definitely see the brotherly/bromance between them and how they both care and look out for each other. You can tell they love each other!
- Harry Potter and Ron Wesley ~ The Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling
A no-brainer! These two are the first kind of bromance that most of us have experienced. Harry and Ron are the best of friends and came together straight away in the first book and have stuck together through everything!
5. Isaac and Augustus Waters ~ The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
I completely forgot about these two and it wasn’t until I dug deeper into my Goodreads that I remembered! Isaac and Augustus were the closest of friends and would be by each other’s side whenever they can, they were just the cutest bromance. I sometimes preferred them over Hazel and Augustus!
THANKS FOR READING!
